"If you give me rice, I'll eat
today; if you teach me how to grow rice, I'll eat every day.

-Mahatma Gandhi

Our Mission

We educate and empower motivated, resilient youth with leadership potential from marginalized populations by providing an intense experiential-based summer program and year-long mentoring in order to contribute to the movement for equality of educational opportunity.

Our Philosophy

Education is a fundamental human right. It is also a key factor in eliminating generational cycles of poverty and income inequality.

We believe that personal growth and self-esteem are directly correlated to academic success. Outdoor experience-based education brings another element to the table by offering unique opportunties for learning and personal growth that are not commonly found in a classroom environment. Building self-growth simultaneously with academic growth is a powerful combination capable of making change.

We advocate that when given encouragement and access to quality education, motivated youth from disadvantaged, impoverished backgrounds have the potential to become responsible, successful and altruistic actors in society.

Summer Program: Campo Esperanza

We Integrate Academic Education with Outdoor Experiential-Based Education.

-The summer program lays the foundation from which our students are encouraged to leap forward in all areas of their lives with the confidence and the tools that are needed to succeed.

-We select 8-10 highschool students and take them out of Santiago's concrete jungle for two weeks where they are exposed for the first time to the breathtaking beauty and the challenges that an extended stay in the outdoors presents.

-Virtually every aspect of the progam is designed to promote Leadership, Respect, and Personal Responsibility.
